On Thursday, 3 March 2016, AFKLMP Cargo officially launched the “Kold Kart” container in Mexico. This container enables the safe transportation of cool chain products at airports in hot climates. This is perfect for locations such as Mexico for instance where high temperatures are experienced on a regular basis and where ramp operations are quite far from the warehouse.

The “Kold Kart” is a temperature-controlled air cargo container transport dolly that enables perishable air cargo or pharmaceuticals (in palletised unit load devices) to be delivered to and from the door of an aircraft under constant refrigeration. This solution protects fragile commodities, reducing waste and extending their shelf life.

In order to offer you the most appropriate and customised solutions to preserve cool chain integrity, AIR FRANCE KLM MARTINAIR Cargo will be introducing the “Kold Kart” at other locations as well.
