Real-time e-AWB validation details are now available in myCargo

InnovationMar - 15, 2023

To enhance the accuracy of shipment details provided by our customers, we have introduced a new feature in myCargo that provides real-time feedback on the quality of e-AWB data. This feedback was previously conveyed via standard IATA messaging, but we have made it more convenient for our customers by making it available directly in myCargo. With this new functionality, AFKLMP Cargo aims to help customers assess the quality of their e-AWB data and take necessary corrective actions.

Customers can view the validation status of their e-AWB and related details in the form of IATA standard MIP codes. In the Track & Trace section of our public website, customers will be immediately notified if their electronic message has been validated or rejected by AFKLMP Cargo. More detailed feedback on data quality is available when customers log in to their myCargo account, where they can address warnings or errors and see which necessary changes have to be made to the e-AWB prior to acceptance.

While a warning does not prevent e-AWB validation or shipment processing, it indicates missing or incorrect optional AWB information. Customers are not obligated to act on warnings immediately but making corrections can help us provide the best possible service. The reasons for e-AWB rejection or warnings may change in the future due to new regulations.

We believe this is a significant step towards digitalizing airfreight, which will improve the e-AWB process and ensure compliant operations.
