The Air France-KLM-Martinair Cargo Animal Hotel at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the world's largest and most modern facility, designed especially for animals in transit. It is the only one of its kind in the world operated by an airline, which means that you can entrust your animals to us in the knowledge that they will remain in our hands at all times.
At the Animal Hotel, the animals can eat, drink, exercise and rest to break up a long journey. They are cared for in comfortable surroundings by qualified and specially trained animal attendants. The Animal Hotel meets – and even exceeds – the highest European quality and hygiene standards. In this respect, we are also proud to mention that the Animal Hotel is certified according to ISO 9002, the most prestigious recognition of industrial quality in Europe. What's more, we even have our own quarantine station which also meets the highest European standards. And a vet is on call at all times to assist when necessary.
Specialised Service
The Animal Hotel is fully operational 24 hours a day. Taking care of animals requires knowledge and dedication. The hotel staff members therefore follow a specialised training programme. This includes training at the School of Veterinary Medicine, a traineeship with a veterinary surgeon, lectures by the Veterinary Inspection Authorities and training at the Amsterdam Zoo Artis. What's more, our animal attendants personally care for all the animals as if they were their own. The animals need that kind of caring attention to feel more comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings and we see to that. This includes our dog-walking service, which is unique in the airline business!
